The aim of this concept project is to create some illustrations inspired in Pink Floyd singles (Mother, Time and Pigs) following a common style.
The first step was doing a deep research about the music and design related to the band. Pink Floyd used many metaphors that were analyzed. All the illustrations share a common vintage style but also use a recurrent concept of animal metaphors. Different animals are mentioned in many songs in order to represent personalities and social classes.
This song from the ‘The Wall’ album narrates a conversation between a kid and an overprotective mother.
This song is about the transience of time and how fast people get old.
The song ‘Pigs’ speaks about powerful and wealthy people using the metaphor of pigs in a derogatory way.
I improved my metodology when analizing a project before starting working on it. I learned to spend more time in the research phase. This project also inspired me when I had to design graphic material for my band Sulcus.
